Usually never have an issue with budget or this location. I recently returned a rental within my scheduled time, then the next day I get my e-receipt with an additional $94 charge and stating I returned the car 3 hours late. When I called to speak with a manager, I was told that there was none that worked in the store and she only works remotely so she was not contactable. I stated that I returned my car within the allotted time frame and the girl decided for whatever reason to not enter it into the computer for 3 hours. The sales manager stated 'well maybe she was busy' even though she just hung up the phone, I was the only customer in the building, and she found and confirmed my name in the system. Made reservations for a 5pm Connecticut pickup. They gave us a different size SUV even though we reserved a certain size months in advance. We were stuck with the vehicle since we had to travel early the next morning and other rental locations would be closing soon. The vehicle was stolen overnight, 48 hours after of arriving at our vacation destination. We later found out that the vehicle they gave us has a very high theft rate. The Budget location in Montreal where it was stolen said they know it has a high theft rate and they refuse to carry it in their fleet. The Montreal location then forced another SUV on us even though we wanted a sedan due to another theft concern.
