Budget Car Rental

I rent from this location at least twice a year (when I travel up from Florida to visit family). The staff is so friendly, professional, and courteous. The cars are always spotless and the employees make sure you are comfortable with the car before you leave the lot. I would highly recommend this Budget/Avis location for your car or truck rental needs.

This was my first time getting a rental at the Budget Car Rental in Fairfield. The nice gentleman who checked me out was great and I mentioned I drove an Ioniq and he's like try the 2025 Toyota Prius and I was excited to try it because he said the gas mileage would great. Next morning on my trip, the service light goes off and I'm in panic at 4am because I couldn't get assistance. Luckily, its the tire pressure and I was able to fill it up before my trip. I was excited to drive this Prius because of the gas but my trip was 484 miles there and back and, I had to fill up 6 times from Thursday to Sunday. That's crazy! The manager is extremely unprofessional. She was cursing loudly for customers to hear, gossiping to me about other customers, and charged a $450 cleaning fee for a car that needed to be wiped down and a quick vacuum to be rented again. After escalating my issues and concerns, I have not received any further communication from this company. I've never had an issue with renting a vehicle from other budget locations and never had an issue with being charged a ridiculous amount of money for a cleaning fee. I do not recommend this location as the professionalism is severely lacking and they ridiculous fees. The pictures are what I was told were excessively dirty.

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET IN FAIRFIELD OHIO!!! I rented a full size car and the brakes were faulty. Every time I had to stop I just prayed that it would stop and no one would get killed. I tried to return it to get another car and the woman was SO rude and nasty to me. She said there was dog hair all over the seats, (I don’t even have a dog) and there would be a $450 cleaning fee. What?!! I was there for a safety issue, it’s 10 minutes before they close and she says if you go vacuum it out then there will be no charge. ?? I say so I have 10 minutes to come back here? I left and continued to drive with the faulty brakes. Who ARE these people? Someone needs to close their business for good for bad business practices. I’ll be working on that. Great Service from truly friendly staff. I have rented cars with them on a number of occasions for work related travel and every car they gave me was both a joy to drive and in impeccable condition. They take very good care of all your car rental needs.
