Budget Car Rental

Truck they tried to give me had 2 gigantic cracks in windshield and was filthy inside. Asked for a new truck and was given one equally as filthy and didn’t even have gas cap. Crumbs and sticky stuff everywhere. Embarrassing to have paid over $1k for this. Extremely unimpressed. Management should make this right.

Honestly what else should I have expected from a business off of West State? If you want a better experience without the vibe of incompetent car salesmen, go to Penske or Uhaul. I reserved a moving van *ONLINE* for same day pick up/drop off only to be told that the vans they had were not available for rental and were out of service when I got there to pick up said rental. I was told this obviously wasn’t communicated (it seems like communication is an issue with this company/these people) as to why it was even available online. Granted I understand the lag sometimes, but it was unprofessional. I was told I would be refunded my deposit, great no problem. Very disappointed in budget and this location. No help was given to make anything right. During pick up The car was not what we were supposed to be getting, the price was wrong. Communication between corporate and the coliseum location was not consistent. They charged more at pick up than what we agreed to during our online reservation. The car smelled like smoke, had mud on mats, and windshield fluid was low. We had tons of going back and forth and really got no where. I hope whoever reads this review thinks twice before even considering doing business with them. This was the most complicated drawn out experience I have ever had with a car rental.

I had a fantastic experience at this Budget rental location, in spite of it being the busy week of Christmas with inventory in short supply. Remington was incredibly helpful, efficient, and kind. I had booked a reservation with less than 24 hours notice using a 3rd party site, and no rental agency in the area had current inventory to support it. Remington explained that multiple 3rd party bookings had been canceled that morning, and calls had been made to all booked customers. My phone number in the system was not correct, so I missed the call. However, Remington searched the system and learned that another customer had canceled their reservation. He worked his magic to get me into literally the last rental vehicle available within a 100-mile radius. Since my own vehicle had broken down

I'm definitely starting to see why this place has only 3.3 stars. I rented a car and had to extend the rental a few times. When I returned the car and inquired about the weird charges on my card, the guy behind the counter was rude and condescending. They ended up charging my card twice... Over $600 overpayment. Now it's 3 days later and I still don't have my money back and it looks like I will have to wait a couple of more days. This is a huge inconvenience and I do not recommend this place whatsoever. On a side note, the lady, who's name is Jenny, that works there was very nice and accommodating over the course of my rental. She's the only reason I am giving two stars instead of one.
