Budget Car Rental

Now the negative reviews here make sense. DO NOT UPGRADE IN STORE. If you upgrade in store, they will charge you $150 to do so. Learn from me. I booked my reservation through Expedia, not realizing how small an economy vehicle is, so I asked for an upgrade. Little did I know, simply because I asked for an upgrade in store, they charged me an additional $150 on top of the cost of the rental. Now the techs were reluctant to call this a convenience fee, but that's simply because they were likely trained not to call this exactly what it is, a $150 convenience fee.. Meanwhile, I went online and reserved the exact same vehicle they upgraded me to, for far less than they were charging me. Hannah needs training, very poor customer service. This lady wanted to charge me $400.00 for a cleaning fee because the car had a bit of dirt and my own hair!!!. I asked for her manager Koala, and she said she was off sick. She expected me to have the car sparkling clean and I said that's why you have someone to clean the cars, you got the wrong one, then she said either you clean it or you pay the cleaning fee. These people think we are going to be returning the car the same way they gave it to me? Don't recommend this place at all. They will try to rip you off!!! I have been renting for years and I rent a lot of cars and I never had an experience like this. See the pictures below and tell me.

Sorry Xavier the damage is done. We went with enterprise because they allowed me to drive even though she paid for it. I will never use budget My fience was paying for rental. We didn’t add extra driver because of one and I’m on disability. I am able to operate in motor vehicle. I called and ask if I can be loan driver as enterprise allowed this in past. They said no has to be her driving. We had a 500$ rental and this is why budget is crashing. Enterprise allowed me to do this, therefore enterprise wins and Budget stays at there 2 star avg rating.

Do not rent from this place. They will nickel and dime you (or try and charge you $400 for having hair) pictures below are how we tried to return the car and were told we would be charged $400 because of the hair. They rent you are car the is mostly clean and covet a brand new car in return. On top of this, when we put in the reservation, we put 10am pick up and 5:00pm return. There was no indication this was not ok. We we picked up we were told we would be charged an extra day because we would return it a couple hours later then the 24 hour mark. Terrible interactions with the staff. Not worth the initial price as that is not what you will end up paying. They advertise low prices but charge all kinds of fees to be more expansive than other places. If I could give 0 stars I would.

It was easy to reserve a car ahead of time for pick up when I needed it. I liked the car provided me. It was clean and looked good. The car handled well. That is important since, I drive state to state visiting family on the East Coast. I am very satisfied with my Budget rental car experience.
