Budget Car Rental

Avoid this location! Budget left us stranded and cost us over 750$! Here is a story you'll want to hear if you are considering renting a car from Budget at the Airport in Lancaster ! My wife and I are extremely frustrated, they cost us a lot of time and money! We were spending time in Philly for the holidays and our flight back home to South Carolina was unfortunately canceled 2 hours before departure. We looked all over PA for a last minute car rental, finding the nearest one in Lancaster PA at this location. After making the reservation online, and the booking was confirmed, our family drove us 1 hour and 45 minutes to Lancaster, hoping to pick up our car for the drive down. I rented a gas powered vehicle from Budget but when I got to the airport there were no gas powered cars left. I received an EV. I do not know how to use or want to use EV cars. I was asked to return to 'another Budget Rental Car place' the next day. I did that but the inconvenience to my vacation sucked. Also the new budget person said I had to have a reason to return the car. There was nothing essentially wrong I just did not want an EV in San Antonio, TX where you cannot find a charging station and I was a tourist on vacation. I will not rent from them again.

After a bad experience at the York Market Street budget office I came over to this Budget location and found the Sunday afternoon Avis/Budget employee to be kind, organized, and professional with myself and the other customers. Thanks for your clarity and professionalism.

First and last time using Budget in Lancaster Pensilvania airport, after I prepaid my car and used my own toll pass, they charged me $46 a Hidden fee they don't explain why, then $14 for toll. Be aware of this. I used Budget in Allentown airport and this didn't happen

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET. I am ONLY giving this a 1 star because I can not pick a ZERO. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM BUDGET, This is a fair warning. You think you pay for the car rental when you rent it and pay up front. Sadly the joke is on the customer. Budget is going to rob you of all of your money. But once you get in the car and drive away, you receive another bill saying more then double was deducted from your account. I paid $500 for 2.5 days of a rental car. When I noticed the charge, I called in immediately and was told the full $271 additional charge would be refunded. I received a whooping $37 refund. They added insurance I didn't ask for. I returned the car with half a tank of gas, I was told by the man at the counter that when budget fills it, its cheaper. Ya know, $10 dollars a gal
