Budget Car Rental

Its an okay experience at best. I booked ahead of time. I pre-paid to ensure I have a car waiting for me, and I can pre-select online. I had a fastback thing where I go select the car and upload a picture. We got to the location and there isn't a single car on the lot for the group selected. So they send us to avis preferred. There was one lady who didn't want to communicate with customers at all. She gave us a paper to give to the person outside. There isn't a line, just stand outside and hope someone stops by, which they did. We didn't get a choice in the car, or given the options. I rented an economy car because I wanted a small size with high MPG. I got a Rav4 instead, which isn't what I wanted. There is a camera that takes pictures coming in and out. No issues there.

We had a less than desirable experience with budget. First off the car center is the gold nugget here. There is plenty of stations that are open. The problem is they don’t have enough people working. I waited in line for almost 30 minutes. And I was the first one. When I got up to the counter finally the person was not very nice and unattentive. We had reserved a Tesla, but they didn’t have one. Not a problem it’s all good. They still had an electric car which was a Genesis. So we took that and made use of it. I asked the attendant about the policy for returning the EV car. She looked completely annoyed with me as I asked. Do I have to bring it back with the same charge or what is the policy for this? She responded just bring it back with the same charge. I said OK, this is my first time

Getting to the off-site rental counter via the buses from the airport was easy. Waiting 10 minutes to get to the front of the line to see an agent also wasn’t a big deal. After getting my car assignment though, I went down to the garage and was told to look in a certain row for a particular license plate. That car wasn’t there. I waited in a long line behind others who also couldn’t find their car. When I got to the front, they took my rental agreement and told me to wait. And so I along with 10 other renters waited around. Then waited more. Others were getting angry and asking to see a manager, wondering how a rental car company with hundreds of cars visible in the garage didn’t have a vehicle they could leave with. One group said they’d been waiting 40 minutes for a car. Eventually after

Avoid Budget LAX at all costs. The staff is incompetent—the woman at the desk messed up my booking and treated us like an inconvenience while we waited hours for a car we already reserved. The car they eventually gave us was a biohazard: smelled like a chimney, covered in melted chocolate, and had a sticky steering wheel. To top it off, they gave us an EV with 30% charge and expected us to return it at 100%. Unprofessional, dirty, and a total scam. I’ll fight with Budget with credit until a satisfied solution is given😊

Opened 24 hrs. We had no problem it is very efficient. It gets very crowded for car pick up. And they could add some staff. Car return was easy and quick. There is a shuttle bus from the car parking to the terminals. We did not wait both ways so I suppose the shuttle is very frequent. And takes 5-10 mins. Only little problem the car floor was completely wet on the front passenger. I left my purse and noticed only few hours later!! My belongings were soaked! They do wash the inside of the car
