Budget Car Rental

I had to book last-minute with this Avis/Budget location last Thursday. During the booking, the representative asked if I wanted to waive the insurance options, and I said yes. I was then told to sign the contract and that there would be a $200 hold as a deposit. After returning the car, I was charged over $400—far more than what I understood to be the original $200 plus the $200 deposit/hold. Maybe part of this is on me for not catching something in the fine print, but if a rep explicitly asks whether to waive coverage and I waive it, I expect that to be honored and reflected clearly in the final charges. The communication at pickup didn’t match what I was billed, and the service felt careless at best. I won’t be booking with this location again.

I booked a rental reservation while booking my flight. Budget had my flight information as part of the reservation process. My flight was delayed and I arrived about 2 hours later than first planned. I entered the office at 11:30pm. My wife and I saw the employee look at us and quickly turn off the light and literally run behind the doors. He would answer the phone but would not speak. Think of horror movie type heavy breathing on the other end of the line. After that, I called the 1-800 number which informed me the office was closed. I explained the situation and that there was no warning about the office hours when booking my flight. I was told that business have operating hours and that was that. In the end, I rented with Alamo, which was open until 2 am. The process was fast,

If I can give this place a 0 I would. The guy at the window assured me that the car I got would fit 6 checked bags and carry ons. It did not when I went to go trade it he was gone. I was stuck with my one year old waiting for an uber to take the suitcases. Your sales associate is does not know anything and was in a rush to leave that he just gave me whatever even after i asked multiple times if he was sure everything would fit. I had reserved a pick up and apparently they didn’t have one. Worst experience of my life will be calling corporate!

This location overbilled me $150 by incorrectly claiming I accepted the loss/damage waiver, when in fact I confirmed with the agent on pickup that I was declining the waiver. Budget customer service refused to correct the error after I contacted them about it. **Update**: After posting the above review, Budget reached out to me and did drop the erroneous charge.

Rented a vehicle from this location last weekend. Everything was very smooth. I had a specific vehicle in mind when renting, and they were able to accommodate what I wanted. I returned vehicle very dusty and they did not complain about it. Very satisfied with their service.
