Budget Car Rental

I don't know how this places doors are still open. First off I scheduled a vehicle pick-up for a family trip on the 28th. When I arrived 2hours prior to pick-up, I was notified the vehicle was not available and that there were no vehicles available that fit the SUV reserved. After being told there was no vehicle, I was told to come back at noon just incase. At noon, I arrived at Budget only to be told that Budget was unable to give me what was reserved days prior. I was told in order to get my refund; I needed to cancel my reservation via phone call and not in the office that I was at. After canceling via phone call, and getting a cancelation confirmation #, I was told my refund would takenl 3-10 days. Fast-forward 10+ days later....no refund. Why do they take reservations if they dont have any cars. Seriously I made reservations month in advance and was scheduled for noon pickup.. they told me that there were 5 people ahead of me without a car. Why wouldn't they email me and say we are a car rental company that doesn't have cars to rent. Its like they wanted to ruin my vacation to dusney.. we scheduled a month in advance.. so we ended up calling enterprise and got a better car for $100 cheaper.

Great experience at this location... I was worried with all the bad reviews this place gets but I couldn't have had a smoother experience. The customer service was impeccable! The guy that works inside at front desk bust's his ass and you can tell and in my opinion he needs a raise because he goes above and beyond. The SUV we rented was clean and got us all the way to Florida and back with zero issues. Tip- If your pick up says noon on a weekend get there at 11:15 or 11:30 to assure an easy rental. I would rent from here again in the future.

I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with this car rental agency, and I would never recommend them to anyone. I reserved a car in advance, about 15 days before my trip, to Chicago International Airport to drop off my family. But just one day before my reservation, I called to confirm my booking, and to my shock, they told me they didn’t have any car available for me. I couldn't understand how this could happen. I made a reservation well in advance, and yet they were renting out cars to other people for the same day! It’s baffling to me that a rental agency doesn't understand the basic meaning of a reservation—you reserve something, and it’s supposed to be available when you show up.
