Budget Car Rental

My sister recently passed and I needed a 12-15 seat passenger van to get the family up north. Found a promotion online, reserved it at that location and I had no issues picking the car up on the day I needed it. The gentlemen I worked with was extremely kind, patient and compassionate. He worked with me and my unique situation when I picked up the car and when I dropped it off. He even checked in and asked how the family was doing when I got back. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Big thank to the staff for not complicating what was already a tough time for me and my family. Ill definitely use you again!

I showed up with a reservation at 8am, and they informed me that they had they truck just not the keys. I had to wait 2 hours until the previous customer dropped off the keys. This cut into the time I had movers set to come and I had to reschedule them. This cost me an entire day of moving and a $200 rescheduling fee. I was kind and asked if they could offer a discount to me for the rescheduling fee or allow me an extra day to make this right and the said "we don't do that." Highly disappointed.

NO AFTER HOURS DROPOFF HERE Which would be fine if i were informed of that by either the website or the location i booked the truck from. But no, he said "after hours is fine put the key in the box" Also i was able to book the dropoff for labor day-- a day the location was closed. I had a 7am flight the next day to leave for 2 weeks, what are u even supposed to do with the truck in that situation

I usually rent here since it is the closest location for me. I try to utilize every online tool I can to minimize time in the rental office. Every time I’ve selected an economy car, I’ve gotten at least one if not two classes higher than I reserved with no explanation or apology. Considering current gas prices, I reserve an economy car for a reason. Every time I’ve rented, there was an issue with the cleanliness of the car. If it’s not smelling like smoke or something else, it’s very apparent that it needs to be wiped down, or the trunk has debris. Every time I’ve returned the car, they’ve been sure to remind me of a fee up to $450 if the car is returned dirty. Whenever I try to return the car, they advise me to completely clean it myself. I originally made reservation at another Budget location, a representative at that location called me and told me that they could not honor my reservation because that location did not have enough cars. I called customer service and they were able switch my reservation to the White Oak location. The price for the rental was quoted higher at the White Oak location by customer service and I was upset but had no choice but to confirm that reservation. When I got to the White Oak location to pick up a vehicle. The staff was pleasant, professional and courteous. The representative at the counter said he could bundle my rental and this save me substantially from the price quoted. I originally felt as if I was being taken advantage.
