Budget Car Rental

The worst experience I have ever had with any car rental company. We got there right on time to pick up our Van and they said they didn't have any vans. I had made a reservation 3 weeks in advance! And received no call prior. The lady said there was nothing they could do to help us and said there was no manager we could speak with. In the rudest tone possible. We specifically needed a van because of the amount of car seats we had. I had to rent something for $300 more since it was a same day reservation and had to drive all the way to the airport to pick it up. Once I was at the airport they said that they could try to honor the price, when they tried to look up the reservation, the person from this location already voided it and so they couldn't do anything. Have rented from here a handful of times because it’s convenient. Every single time we have had an issue. The last time I thought we made it through when surprisingly pickup was great (we got the class size we actually booked and it was not smoked in), until we had an issue with drop off. We drove across town to Avis now. Will never rent from here again.

Things to keep in mind before renting here: This is an independent location. They may potentially not honor your corporate booked and possibly prepaid reservation. We ended up with a bait and switch reservation. They have their own website, reservation system, and their own rewards program. (Separate from Budget). I didn't find out until after the fact that the prices may be different as well. They kindly honored my HIGHER corporate price instead of offering me their lower local price. Too bad we weren't informed when the employee refused our corporate prepaid reservation 15 minutes before closing time the day before we had critical timed travel. We reserved a minivan well in advance to comfortably fit our family. We showed up right when the store opened at 8am—except it didn’t. The employee strolled in at 8:30 with no apology. Had a reservation, showed up and nobody was there. Hours on door said they should be open but doors closed and lights locked. Can see the car we reserved in the lot but no way to get it. Don't come here.
