Budget Car Rental

I’ve used this Budget location for years, but this visit was disappointing. The agent gave a better car to the customer before me, stuck me with an Elantra that had oil issues, and added a bogus fuel charge even though I returned it full. His attitude felt dismissive compared to how he treated others — not the equal service I’ve come to expect here.

It was ok… the line was long. And slow. But. They were acceptably friendly. Michael was helpful and offered an upgrade as we used Costco but it was for a truck which we didn’t want. Once we got to the counter the process was fast. As he was speedy. But the other people picking up cars were so slow. The walk to pick up the car was long, but we are perfectly able-bodied so it wasn’t a problem. You have to go out of the counter and down an elevator and then walk alphabetically to your car.

Booked my rental 2 weeks in advance only to find out after waiting 1.5 hours in line at the airport that they ran out of cars! Had to wait longer for a vehicle. The line started out past the coffee shop with only 2-3 clerks working, the rest not sure… Asked if I could get a smaller or larger vehicle and they only had a 1x Mercedes they could offer for $20/day more. Hertz, Enterprise, National had no lines or wait.

Currently dropping off my rental..mediocre experience..online ot says they dont charge a CC hold, that's a lie..my reservation called for an economy car, I got a SUV, which isn't an economy car..there was no windshield wiper fluid, so that was annoying..the SUV was great on gas, which made it a little less aggravating..of youre going to rent from them, call them, don't do it online..they should reimburse for some $$$ or give me a credit...

Jay from the Bay is the best Budget representative at the airport location. Highly recommend waiting to be served by him. God bless you!
