Budget Car Rental

Terrible customer service. It’s a shame that you can’t give minus reviews because this place deserves it! No vehicles available and reservations are never respected.

Janice is such a joy!! We came in to rent a car for our son, but we got more than that. Janice talked with us as if she knew us. She was so warm and inviting. The process was not stressful at all. As she talked, Janice continued to work. She is truly an asset to Budget Car Rental. Thank you Janice!!!!

After reserving a luxury car and receiving several reminder emails about picking up the car, we get there and I was told that I needed to pay $200 to ensure the car comes back… people are so quick to judge…. The car I was renting is the car version of my truck! And even after that she was about to run my card and she says oh well we don’t have that car, and because it’s a luxury car I will have to use a major credit card. How about if you didn’t have the car don’t advertise it! 🤨

Booked and prepaid $300 for a rental online. Got to rental counter and was told the car wasn't ready. Waited 45 minutes and was then told that I would have to pay an additional $200 deposit. Tried to pay this with my debit card and was told they didn't accept prepaid debit cards (???!!). They would not let me rent the car. Went online and cancelled the rental and was then told they wouldn't refund my $300 that I paid for the rental because it was past the check in time and too late to get a refund. They literally scammed me out of $300. Tried to get the charge on my card reversed but it was denied. So now I am taking them to small claims court to get my money back.

On July 20, 2024, we placed an order for an 8PSNGER Chevrolet Suburban or similar. I will note that both myself and my sister-in-law were on the phone as we made the reservation. A representative from their toll-free number took my card number and information. She explained to us that as long as we used a debit card with certain company logos (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc) we were all good to go. On the day of check-in, we called and updated our flight information because our flight was delayed. We arrived on July 23, 2024 to pick up the vehicle (same day, just a few hours late). As we were providing my license and debit card authorization, the man at the MIA Budget counter told me that I needed an additional credit card for incidentals. I did not have an additional card.
