Budget Rent A Car Rental Offices

I never, ever thought I’d write a review for a rental company. Especially one that has such terrible reviews already. But Damon at Budget is someone exceptional. Not only was he kind, but he went way out of his way to help me when I made a stupid mistake. I rented a car that was way bigger than I needed. I already paid, and it was late. But Damon spent the extra time to cancel out my old rental, and got me into something else. All without complaining and also giving me the confidence that everything was done correctly. If even 1% of the people out there was like this guy, there might not be war. Just love

DO NOT rent from the Las Vegas location. They overbook reservations and will not have a car for you. I prepaid weeks ahead of time. Not reserved, but pre-paid for my reservation. I show up to a line of over 100 people waiting to get checked in. The Fast Break counter was closed. All of the other rental agencies had only a few people in line. After almost two hours I am within 30 people in front of me, the manager says there are no more cars. Huh? But I pre-paid! Also by this time there are at least 50 people behind me waiting. Everyone is upset of course. The option is to wait more or come back tomorrow. I come back the next day and there is no line. BUT, they still do not have the car type I reserved. I take an alternate and the employees tells me he can't refund me for the missed day, I

My cell phone was stolen, and by one of Budget's employees!! I accidently left my phone in the rental car that we returned and I knew exactly where it was. Once I was in the airport, I couldn't reach a LIVE person to recover the phone. Well, now I have tracked the phone's location to 4360 Nexus Way in Las Vegas. It was obviously removed by either a Budget employee upon the vehicle's return, or someone who cleaned the car (contracted employee). So was it my fault that I left the phone in the vehicle - absolutely. But now the phone has mysteriously not turned up?? What a bunch of BS. Budget has AI cameras to track the slightest piece of damage to a rental car, but they can't see an employee finding the phone and then putting it in their pocket??? I called FIVE times and left messages.

You can only driver to a few states, CA, UT, NM, NV. This is buried very deep in the terms and conditions for the LOCAL site. If you didn't notice this you will be very disappointed when you arrive and see the giant signs about the restriction. Rental car did not have lug nut lock key in car. Got a slow leak in St George Utah. Budget wanted me to drive back to Las Vegas on a bad tire to exchange car.

They charged me for insurance after I specifically asked for no insurance on the car. It was marked as “optional” after paying and returning the car, but when I checked in the guy added on the optional insurance after I declined it. The extra $100 for a 2 day rental showed up charged to me after returning the car even though I declined it origionally. They have really bad reviews, I should have checked that before renting a car here.
