Budget Truck Rental

I probably wouldn’t have gotten my rental truck here if I had looked at the reviews first, but I actually had a very positive experience. I showed up about 45 minutes late to my pickup because of something that came up that morning and they didn’t give me any problems about it. I don’t remember their names but I was helped by a man and woman who were both very friendly and despite being late, still let me call my primary car insurance to confirm that the rental would be covered. The truck was perfect for our move and because we were dropping it off on a day they were closed, they told me to just bring it back at any time. So I got several extra hours out of the rental that ended up being a huge help.

I’m really not one to write negative reviews. Honestly. I almost always just praise the good or quietly go elsewhere for the bad, but I had a really poor experience with budget and felt it might be useful to someone in the future. Booked a truck a month in advance in West Jordan (we lived in the Orem area for reference) because that’s what was available and we liked the price. Two days before pick up we got an email saying they canceled our reservation. No other emails or communication. We called and they said they don’t have a truck for us so they switched us to pick up in Ogden Utah. I had to get the new confirmation number on the phone because we didn’t get any email with that information. For those who know Utah well, that’s a pretty long drive from the Provo/Orem area. About 1.5 hour

I made a reservation on May 11 and received a confirmation number. I showed up on time to the specific location on my reservation May 13th. They did not have the truck or any other moving trucks at their location (except one that was out of service). They sent me to a different location that put me behind by two hours. The new location could not retrieve my original reservation so a new contract was made. I was charged a no show fee of $75. What a joke! Now I have to call customer service and explain to get refund. Budget should pay me $75 for an inconvenience fee. I am very dissatisfied with Budget Truck Rental for not providing adequate customer service, not fulfilling a reservation that I made, and then charging me a fee for all the inconvenience they caused me. I received more than one

The ABSOLUTE WORST company I have ever been into contact with. If i could leave no star I would have. They completely screwed over my family and I on the day of the move. The manager little miss Kim was the most horrible human being to me and she completely LIED about the location having a truck for us. Someone needs to shut this company down completely or hire a completely new staff!!!!

I rented a 16' moving truck and a tow dolly from this location on 09/15/16. The people that worked there were very nice. When we checked out the truck, I noticed that the outside was dirty and that the windows were covered in bugs. I knew there weren't any other trucks and we had to be in NM that evening. I figured I'd clean the windows when we loaded the truck. We loaded the truck and went to put our personal belongs in the cab. That was when I noticed that the problems went beyond the window. There was vomit on the floor, soda sprayed on the headliner, visor and windows, spit out sunflower shells on the door and in the door pockets, food and soda spilled in the console, food and drink spilled on the seats. While driving it, we found that the headlights were so far out of alignment that w
