I took my 5.3 engine to Jeff Burkett owner of Burketts racing engine after seeing good reviews. After three weeks of waiting, I was disappointed. I did not check before I left due to the weather. Once I got home, I noticed that Jeff Burkett destroyed one of my pistons. It appears when he was pressing the rod and wrist pin on the piston, possibly a vice that was holding it, slipped. It damaged the piston skirt and is unusable. Instead of doing the right thing which would had been calling me to let me know and replacing the piston. He carried on with balancing the crank with a damaged piston. He claimed he replaced my cam bearings and line bored them. There is a ton of deep scratches on all bearings and nicks from the install. Burketts filled the rings to .20 instead of .22 as discussed a
