Buying junk autos in Des Moines

I guided my 67 year old mom to a 2000 Toyota Avalon with a 140,000 miles. Advertised on marketplace as a great running, well maintained car that I thought was perfect for her. We put less than 500 miles on the car and drove it for less than 2 months. We sit carless and now I'm unemployed with nothing to show for 3000$. Thanks Anthony Klein.
