Camping World - Thornburg

Busy today learning all the incredible capability my new 2025 Tranquility Van from Thor and Camping World... it is amazing. But I do want to take time to commend Camping World Thornburg. Excellent process from start to finish, they were more than capable of working most of it online via phone, text and email... responsive and decidedly decent people. Michelle my wonderful salesman and Dustin, the most patient finance person I have ever met, and being 71 years old I have met a few, and William who tried to keep me from bumping my head on the bike rack when i close the rear doors.. good try William. The dealership is very nice, bright and clean, a lot to see and do in there... yeah, 5 stars for sure.

Easy perfect transition. I did everything via email and phone as I was about two hours away. Wrapped it all up Friday night and was there Saturday picking up my new travel trailer. I really thought it was awesome they have a tech go over everything with you on how to use your camper. This is my first one so I had a lot of questions. They all got answered. The finance guy, Dustin, was awesome. I will be back in a couple years to hopefully upgrade and go bigger!

Starts off as a great experience. Then hook, line and sinker. John the sales guy was great, The gentleman that did the walk around with my camper A+ he seen my slide struggling to come in at the time of delivery. Can’t say the same for finance or the general manager. They wrote my payoff down on paper straight off my bank app. Well obviously they were in a rush because they didn’t write the full amount down or add daily interest in. So saying now I owe the difference and it’s in the contract which it isn’t I could probably read word for word what my contract says and if that section was left out well that’s on you. But it gets much better instead of the hypothetical $150 above/below dollars I owe on trade in “Pocket change” they failed to listen to me that my BRAND NEW CAMPER WHEELS ARE PE

We have recently put a Rockwood Mini Lite up for consignment on Thornburg's lot. We have been working with Anna. As you can see in the photos Camping World listed our 2019 camper for $18,989. This is just shy of 1k of what we paid for it 4 years ago- making it a 40% markup above their quoted NADA quote. Even a novice RV owner knows rigs do not go up in value! We asked Anna to reconsider bringing the price to a more reasonable expectation for buyers- she said Dan her manager did not agree to this. We do understand they need to make money as well as us not get completely wiped. They did ask for us to pay more towards principle prior to us putting camper on consignment.
