I sold my car at CarMax recently. The best part was how fast the appraisal process was. They had me pull up, checked the car, and gave me an offer within about 30 minutes. The offer itself was fair, and in line with what I had seen online, which I appreciated. The actual payment process was also smooth. I had the check in hand the same day. Where things fell short was the customer service and communication. Even with an appointment, I felt like I was just another number in line. The staff didn’t explain much unless I asked directly, like how they came up with the offer or what would happen with the title paperwork.
