UPDATE: The response from ("the Owner") CarMax was a generic, scripted reply that failed to address the problem. A case was already filed, and this review reflects how poorly the situation has been handled. No accountability has been taken by the manager, the store, or customer relations. Case #972128. To CarMax Corporate & Regional Management, I am formally escalating a serious safety and ethics issue involving CarMax after purchasing a $70,000 2021 C8 Corvette from this location. The vehicle was sold with aftermarket tire decals glued directly to the sidewalls. During the 800-mile drive back to New Mexico, those decals began peeling off—taking rubber with them. Selling my car was super simple. I received an offer from CarMax within minutes and an appointment time to drop off my vehicle. At my appointment, I was in and out in 10 minutes or less. CarMax made the process incredibly simple. I wish all dealerships experiences were this seamless and easy. I will definitely consider buying a vehicle from CarMax in the future.

on October 24 I worked with customer service representative Walter in purchasing this Kia Sorrento. The car is a very good car and the sales rep Walter was a very decent one. Today I'm gonna go into the shop and pick up my plates that have come in after three weeks. However I'm already concerned about a matter. The transmission on the car is pretty jittery and has a tough time shifting in between neutral and reverse or park and reverse and I've been pretty concerned with my wife driving the car. Today I will go in and pick up the plates and have the service take a look at it and hopefully this can be a subject table on responsibility for and take care of and a decent period of time. I had a vehicle sent to the Henderson store but it didn't match the description on line. Melissa (manager) call right away and not only refunded my money but worked with me to get another vehicle I wanted. Went to store and Jorge (salesman) did a great job helping us buy vehicle. What a great team. They took a bad situation and made it a terrific experience. We appreciate all of the staff at CarMax they were all fantastic.

It wasn’t a perfect experience, but I still give 5 stars because I truly believe Carrie in corporate and the GM of the store are stand-up people who genuinely care about making sure their customers are happy and in the right vehicle. In the end, everything worked out as it should. Carrie was extremely professional, patient, and helpful throughout the process, and the GM was equally understanding and supportive. I stand by the fact that CarMax sells reliable, well-running vehicles. Two of my children have purchased cars from them, and I recently purchased a Ford F-150 myself. Each time, the vehicles have been excellent. I’ve been very satisfied with the service I’ve received—both when selling my vehicle (fair offer) and when buying one (fair price).
