CarMax

I bought a car here and brought it back for the service dept to do some minor repairs. Everyone I dealt with was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. I financed my car through CarMax, and the interest rate seems very reasonable. The rep did ask to see my bank account balance, but I didn't consider this remarkable considering it's not the first time I've been asked to verify this for a transaction like this. I've been driving the car for about a month, and I'm very pleased with. This is the second car I have purchased with CarMax, and in both cases, I was very impressed with the quality of service I received. My only regret is that I didn't buy my car insurance ahead of time, as I didn't have time in-store to do much shopping around, and you can't drive off the lot without insurance.

I had an overall great experience selling my car with CarMax. There was an issue with one of the managers relaying incorrect information to other managers, causing me to not receive as much money for my car as I initially was meant to with my online offer, but I was still able to sell my car for a much higher amount than other places offered. Sheila and Terri were great, they made the process easy and enjoyable.

I received a higher offer from this dealership via email while I was driving to this location, so I didn't see it originally. I told the manager while they were still reviewing the original offer and nothing had been finalized yet. Despite showing the email on my phone — clearly from their company with branding and sender details, the manager denied to honor it, and said it can't be from them, but honored the lowest offer - both from the same sender/carmax

The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because everyone who worked there WAS very kind. Beyond that, though, the experience was not good. At every turn, there was some sort of delay, computer problem, or general incompetence. I needed a car shipped to this location from Missouri and the process couldn't get started because the "system was down." Once the transfer could be processed, the car, coming from Missouri, was routed through Oklahoma City and Omaha. I literally could have walked to the Carmax the car was originally at and picked it up faster. Once the car arrived, I test drove it and was ready to buy. That process took longer than it should have because, once again, there were "computer problems." And then after the purchase I wasn't able to receive a temporary registration/l

Took my friend here to sell their car. On the way there, my friend received an email from them with an offer a little higher than what was originally offered. Upon arriving and showing them the email, they tried gaslighting my friend, rescinded their offer and chose to not honor it. Very disrespectful and dishonest business practices employed here at this dealership. My friend, being the kind and non-confrontational person that they are, accepted the lower offer. Don't come here and do not let your loved ones come here - take your business elsewhere.
