Carvana DC (Gaithersburg)

Over the first drive home with my car purchased from Carvana, I noticed a knocking noise. I had already pre-scheduled a 3rd party inspection during my 7 day return period, so brought this issue up at the 3rd party shop. It turns out that the transmission was dangling freely and loosely, on the verge of falling off on a brace which was secured with only 1 of 4 bolts! The tech was able to bounce the entire transmission and connected drivetrain up and down with his hands with the car on the lift. Carvana boasts on its robust safety inspections and I cannot believe the sheer incompetence from their techs to miss something this obvious. I love the Carvana commercial with John Ham, but I thought "how could this be so easy?" Well, after going through the process recently, I found this to be a simple, guided and easy and respectful transaction. Everything is made as easy as possible and I felt confident and reassured throughout. Well done, Carvana!

I have had a great experience with carvana. They are quick to answer questions and explain every step. They worked with me when my bank was being difficult. I decided to exchange my car for another model, and they set everything up to make sure there would be no added fees or surprises when I brought the first one in. Rahim helped me in person and was friendly and patient. Great experience!

My experience from the day I picked up the car was not good. The Customer advocate gave no details and did not walk us through the process. The car had issues and the process of getting things fixed wasn’t good. The response wasn’t good. The registration had inaccurate mileage. My father checked under the hood and there wasn’t any coolant in the car but a drop in the overflow so I added coolant. I completed the process to return the car back on Monday, 8/25 my 7th day. I had to make an appointment to physically return the car on Saturday, 8/30 @ 4:30pm. This process was the worst I have ever been through buying a car and I have bought several cars in the past. I had tried buying 2 cars from local dealers. I took the car to my mechanic and he found significant issues that the dealers refused to correct. Frustrated, I took a chance on a Hyundai Genesis through Carvana, knowing I had 1 week to return. I took it to my mechanic, and yes, there was a problem… But, I took it to the highest rated repair facility from there Carvana Care package, who referred me to the local dealers, who repaired the issue, completely covered by Carvana. The repair was a significant one, costing 1/3 the purchase price of the vehicle, but there was no problem getting it covered. Good customer service is what happens when everything is perfect. Great customer service happens when there are problems and they get fixed. I will likely be using Carvana again when I get my mid-
