Cavalier Mazda Service Center

I just wanted to say how fantastic my experience has been with my Mazda service advisor Steve. He’s truly amazing at what he does and has been with Mazda for a long time, which really builds my trust in him. Whenever I share any frustrations or describe odd sounds my car is making, he listens carefully and reassures me with his expertise. He’s always so pleasant and kind, and I end up feeling really well taken care of. Definitely top-notch service!

Brought my car in for an inspection and they told me I needed a new transmission and a new clutch. I went to a transmission specialist and they said, and I quote, "I cannot work on this car in good faith. There is nothing wrong with the transmission or clutch". Mazda did say that the car was too old to get parts for so they couldn't replace the trans and clutch... still concerning that they tried to mark everything up as needing replacement parts. Would be a one star review, but they have fantastic oil change prices, so they get a star back.

I brought my 2001 Miata in with an immobilizer issue to the service center. Even though they were not able to fix the car due to Mazda no longer making and stocking the required parts, they made sure to do everything they could to ensure I left a satisfied customer. Big shout out to Mr. Scott Benson, the service manager. He seems like he genuinely cares about what he does and in helping people get the cars they love back on the road.

My daughter lost her key fob - bought one from Southern Mazda in Newport News. Had the car towed to Cavalier where I purchased an additional fob for $331 bc I was told two fobs were needed to program it. They did not ask me any info about the VIN#. Fob arrived next day, but it was the wrong fob so they credited me $331. Then proceeded to tell me that the car had other issues that needed to be addressed first. Informed me later that the steering lock needed to be replaced to the tune of $2100, and that they COULD NOT program anything without doing this. Initially I told them to proceed and that I would just put it on my credit card bc my daughter doesn't have the money and I live on a one person income and I don't have that kind of money. After much thought, I called them back and told them

Only place that I will take my 2016 Mazda6GT for anything except tires. I bought my car here. This is my 3rd Mazda. My last Mazda was a Millenia which I had for >20 yrs., I loved that car and never let me down. Same with my M6GT.
