I’m sharing this because I know how hard it is, especially for women, to find a mechanic you can actually trust. I’ve dealt with plenty who do sloppy patchwork jobs, push repairs I don’t need, and (more than once) charged me double what they’d quote a man. And here’s the thing: the worst offenders were the big-name shops and dealerships I thought would be the most trustworthy.
