Chartwell McConnell Retirement Residence

After 18 months of community living at Chartwell McConnell we are very happy with our new lifestyle. The varied activities both educational and entertaining make our lives vibrante and fulfilling. The people are friendly and neighborly. The General Manager Jasmin Parker has touched our heart with kindness and compassion, as have all of the staff. Shafana is fantastic receptionist. They are ALL so kind and helpful. You're a great TEAM and we appreciate all you do for us. See you soon. ❤️

I like everything goes here. The staff is always helpful. Justin kitchen Manager is doing fantastic job. Shafana is excellent at her job. Gerry, Scott and other team members are amazing. Residents are so friendly. I love all the activities and Shuttle bus service. ❤️

I have now been at Chartwell since Sept. 2024. I had toured all the seniors residences in the city and chose Chartwell MacConnell for the size and openess of the appartments, the location (L had taught at SLHS ) the friendliness of Lois and the team, the fact that my suite had 2 bedrooms (I could use one for crafts) and lots of windows,and parking in a site which was central to everything. I have not been disappointed. The new Administrator, Jasmine, has acted rapidly to make needed improvements to things which had been allowed to slide and you can tell by the smiles that residents are relishing the changes. The staff who have always been great, are happier, and that also contributes to our good feelings . Everyone, from front Desk (Shafana) , nursing staff, maintenance, etc . is

The staff provides a supportive and personalized experience, making both my aunt and our family feel comfortable and cared for. Michel Beaudry, the retirement living consultant, was outstanding. He helped coordinate everything from respite care to permanent residency in my aunt’s own personalized unit. She is so well cared for, which gives me complete peace of mind. Since new management Justin has taken over at Chartwell the food has been incredible and the service is top notch. He is very professional and if there is any concerns he meets with the residents immediately and resolves the issue on hand and with respect. He is for the residents and Marina and Joy say”He actually cares and it’s been a great change”. They really liked the fact that he goes around asking if everything is good and he is personable and they know the can approach him… As for the new General Manager Jasmin. She has been a great asset to Chartwell and to these residents.
