Chevs of the 40's

My purchase of a short shaft water pump took a week to receive it installed started to leak immediately from the weep holes. Called was told a pump would be sent out to replace bad one. I waited a week before I received an email requesting I return pump. I called they said I would have to pay for a new one to send out immediately. Or send bad pump back and when they received they would send the replacement out after inspection. All at my disconviniance of time and money and missing car shows I was committed to. Out 3 weeks so far now I got to remove send back and wait God knows how long. I will never buy another part or product from them again I suggest you think real hard on doing so before you do. Customer service was absolutely no help. They said that was their policy. A policy to thin

My experience here was ok until my last order. I spoke to someone here ( won't mention any names ) when I ordered a 12 volt coil with bulit in resistor was told they have the part here order was sent and guess what ... yep it was the wrong one no bulit in resistor!! Not sure if I will buy from here again 🤔 I wasn't expecting this from a place that claims to be all about CHEVS OF 40 !! Booo get customer service reps who know a little bit about cars at least.

I had some difficulties with a part from another vendor that was purchased through Chevs of the 40's. When calling about the further installation instructions or the possibility of a return, I found the person on the other end of the line thoroughly knowledgeable about not only the part itself, but about some pretty arcane installation issues. I was given a return authorization once the problem was addressed and an alternative part was required. Great service, so nice to work with someone who knows their stuff!!

These folks are great and I depend on them for my business. I restore and repair many old Chevy's and components for Chevy's and have never been disappointed with these guys. It is always easy to call and talk to someone and, in fact, following many of my online orders I will get a call from them verifying certain aspects of the order.
