Do NOT go to this place. They are dishonest and dangerous. At first, they seemed friendly, but everything changed after I paid them. I came because of a noise in my car. They said it was the rear link, replaced it, and I paid $268 in cash. They promised if the problem wasn’t fixed, they would continue the repair without extra charge. The noise didn’t go away. They told me to come back the next day — and kept telling me that for a whole week. After all that, they replaced the front link and suddenly demanded another $300! Worst of all — when I refused to pay again, they locked the gate and wouldn’t let me leave. They held me there even though I had already paid. I felt scared and unsafe. This business consistently parks cars in the bike lane endangering cyclists by forcing them into the car lane. This puts drivers at risk as well. Many people have discussed this issue with the business and they do not care. I will never spend money here.

I've never written a poor review before. I am doing so because I do not condone hatred and plain mean behavior. I am heartbroken at my encounter with the owner of Chicago Auto Repair. I cannot speak to the services Chicago Auto Repair provides, I can speak to the unpleasant and inappropriate behavior I and others have experienced. If you're a queer person, a femme, or someone who values and respect and inclusivity, please know that the owner has made unwarranted homophobic and sexist remarks to me and others I know. If you believe in supporting businesses that align with your values, I urge you to consider this before choosing where to spend your money.

Not the right place to fix your car! This shop is the worst mechanic shop I have ever experienced. I took my car to him to replace the engine. He was selling his old engine to me that had 130k for $1400 without the labor. However, I got a good a deal with low-mileage engine that had only 20-25k with 5 months warranty, and Nadeem, the owner of the shop told me that he’ll only charge me for the labor if I bring him my own engine. When I delivered him the engine, he started making excuses that the engine is different and he has to make a conversion. Since I am myself a mechanic and I knew that it’s exactly the same engine, so he had to only take the old engine’s intake manifold and install it into the new engine which he did so. He's a dishonest person . He's keeps playing games with all my friends that go to him . Once a customer goes to him once . They never go back . I had a friend who needed a simple engine replacement. And they damaged that car to the point where the car had to be junked
