Martin is the guy you want at Chief Auto. He said he doesn't read these reviews, but I'm posting for those who have a vehicle around Canyon County that need service. He was great with thoroughness, effort, transparency/honesty, and pricing. Insisted on fixing a minor problem for me before purchasing expensive replacement parts I didn't need. Would definitely recommend!!

Martin is a great mechanic! A honest human which can be hard to find in the world these days. Especially, in this field of expertise. He is also, very reasonable in what he charges. I recommend him all the time when asked for a good mechanic.

Great mechanic. We had our alternator go out while traveling through. We called and he came to us to take a look, even called one of the businesses near our car to let them know we were stranded. He was quick to give us information and to fix things. Great at responding to calls and updating us. Also, the bill was a lot less then we planned on it being! If we are ever in the area and need someone again we will not hesitate to go here!

This repair shop has a small town feel to it. It's not polished and cleaned like the vig companies. There are cars everywhere, all in various stages of repair. But each one is an active repair and not the usual repair yard rot. The gentleman was kindly and welcoming, very straight forward about the price and how long it would take and when I could expect a call. I want to add that I called ahead the previous day and he told me when he had an opening. I showed up at the designated time and was given the experiance as outlined above. He took my vehicle out and confirmed the issue. Asked me again if that's what I'm after. when I confirmed it, he pulled it in and his other mechanic went right to it. Just like that. He let me linger and wander the shop as I demonstrated common sense and shop

Martin is great. He is cost effective and runs a good shop. He gives you options such as informing you on what needs to be done to be safe, what should probably be done, and what would be nice to have done eventually. Always informative and helpful. Keeps my cars running well on the road.
