Citrus Transmission & Auto

We were driving north back to Virginia, when we experienced transmission trouble. Citrus Transmission was recommended to us by a local tire store. No appointment, and being from out of town we were ripe to be taken advantage of; instead we were soon on a test drive to check the problem. The problem was minor, no charge and we arrived home safely. I wish Citrus Transmission was in my hometown.

Excellent service. They seem very knowledgeable with reasonable labor rates.

Had 3 transmission lines replaced when I picked up the truck the transmission cooler was leaking when I asked the woman on the phone about it she said I must have hit something so hard I shifted the front of my entire truck and made the driveshaft hit the transmission cooler which caused the crack. Obviously that didn't happen I took the truck to another shop and was told the line was installed improperly and that's what caused the crack. They knew they cracked the cooler and they would not comp it. Trash.

This is my first experience with any mechanic shop in Citrus County. This shop is veteran owned and has some honest, hard-working, professional mechanics. Trust me, when you're having a major issue with your vehicle, you want a mechanic, not a technician. They diagnosed several issues with my truck and thoroughly explained a couple of options and cost breakdowns upfront. This shop does not like to "nickel and dime" their customers. They have earned my business and recommendation to family and friends.

We had a number of minor issues, some cosmetic that were fixed. However, the main issue for service was the fact that the Impala showed "service traction control " coupled with "engine power reduced" when driving any distance and they claimed they could not find the source let alone identify the issue after nearly a week of service. I drove the car for less than 10 minutes after getting it back and had the same issue, unsure how they were unable to detect this problem. While I do not wish to question the methodology, I am somewhat unsatisfied considering the time frame.
