I did my first Yelp review of these guys in September of 2009. At first, I only had them doing routine oil changes and basic maintenance on my 2003 Suburban. Over the years, Dan and his team have come to know my vehicle so well that I almost always regret taking it somewhere else. I still have the Suburban, and though I have moved to Fremont, I still will make the periodic trek to downtown San Jose for specific work that I know will be done right, and will be done for an HONEST price. Never have these guys charged me more than they had to. Sketchy area? Yup! Some of the team need customer service training? You betcha'! If you can look past that and understand that they are a small business and doing great work in a small space, you may appreciate how difficult that must be. My Suburban

City Auto Care and its owner Dan are nice folks who know what they are doing. They are honest and straight forward and they are always there to help common folks like you and I. Their prices are very reasonable for the public and nearby students at San Jose University.

I’ve been going to this place for years. The owner is extremely kind and very knowledgeable with the work that he does. My entire family gets our oil changes from this shop and the price is always very reasonable. I highly recommend this business to anyone within reasonable distance especially if you need a quick oil change.

Dan and team have been helping me for over 8 years. From friends family and company he has service over 20 cars. Responsible fast and fair. I don’t even live in the area anymore, but drive over an hour to come back because he is one of the few mechanics I’ve trusted. Thanks
