$600/hr is the expected rate. My truck didn't start so I called for a tow, 2 miles $258. Dispatcher was very friendly and polite, said we can work with the prices and dropped it over $100. Fortunately I didn't need the tow but it was still a $50 cancellation when I called back after ~5 minutes which works out to being charged ~$600/hour for no service. Dispatchers friendly, great just doing their job, offered recommendations to see if it could be an easy fix without a tow. The business charging a cancellation fee when I called back pretty damn quick is why it would have been a 1 star. 1 star from 3 they just called me several hours after the cancellation likely from leaving this review. Our business transaction ended when I was charged and cancelled the request for dispatch. I get

I called for a tow for a car that was not drivable. I explained what was wrong on the phone and they asked me to pay $180 to use “special equipment.” They ended up doing body damage to my car and the guy who was towing it said “there’s nothing I can do.” Before and after pics of the tow. Would not recommend!!!
