Came in to get a fuel pump changed - I was too lazy to do it myself. Big mistake. Became a month long debacle. After filling up at the station I had fuel leaking from the tank. I took it back a total of 4 times and they couldn’t figure out the issue. They changed the fuel pump again and seal. Same issue. They even suggested buying a new tank… I decided to drop the tank myself before moving forward with a big purchase. The leak ended up coming from a faulty electrical seal on the fuel pump itself. Cliff Brown was very accommodating and was able to return the car each time same day - but the reason for such a low rating is because they couldn’t take the time to fully diagnose the issue… I was able to figure it out as a DIYer in my garage in less than 2 hours. Very impressed. As a person that is new to San Diego and a female I was nervous when my car had issues. I brought it to Cliff Brown to look at and determine the issue. They charged me very little (10 dollars) to look at and diagnosis. Then they helped me get the best deal on fixing my starter. I had a warranty on it and actually ended up getting it fixed for free at another location because of their help. Cliff Brown employees treated me with respect and kindness. They helped me get the best deal even though it didn’t benefit them. Highly recommend! I am very grateful for there help.
