This place is hands down the best auto shop around. I brought my vehicle here to get a new Catalyt Converter here and they did a five star job. Hector was amazing when I brought my car back after it broke down again two blocks away after they installed the new Catalyt Converter. His assistant said bring it in and we will look at it he hooked it up to his little self diagnostic tool right away and informed me that it still had five codes and I should get a $165 full diagnostic for accuracy. Hector is so kind for doing that when he was ready to leave for the night after along hard day. The next morning I was informed by his shop it would be another $2235 to repair my car I was so pumped. WARNING SCAMMERS! took my vehicle in to have one job done & after 3 trips there I ended up with more problems.They said they replaced the catalytic converter by the last time I went they put back in my old one. Spent 1,000+. Manager Hector ACTS helpful but he’s apart of the whole scam. Only writing this for the genuine people that need work done, go SOMEWHERE ELSE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!

Hector worked on my E46 M3 a few years back. The car was bought with engine problems from the previous owner. This was a one of kind competition package M3, and these guys rebuilt the engine. I was amazed by how well the car responded, it was like driving a brand new car. No problems whatsoever.

I take my vehicle here anytime I need anything done. They are honest and reliable. Straightforward and timely. Affordable. I appreciate these guys and all the time they have put into my truck, absolutely recommend anyone looking for repairs, estimates or upgrades. Edit to add: I’ve never been to another mechanic whose final price on bill wasn’t consistently more than the estimate. Their estimates are always spot on. And whenever there was an issue with a price or a part they call me and verify it first.

Unbelievably poor experience at California Muffler and will not return. Here are the details: We were originally referred to them by another local shop to get an invasive catalytic test, trying to diagnose issues with the vehicle. It was later that day we discovered that they had NOT performed the test they were instructed to perform. They actually told us they had completed the test, that there were no errors, and charged us for it. They also falsified the invoice by saying the engine codes were cleared when they were not. They claimed that a disconnected hose was the cause of the codes, and it was only when we went back to the original shop that same day that we discovered the codes were still present.
