Costco Tire Service Center

I came here to purchase battery for my car since it’s weak or dead. Pretty much they have everything that you need: batteries, tires, etc. They just need to know your car’s info such as make, year, and model. Most of the time, it’s cheaper to replace tires here and get batteries than from the dealership. From this Costco, they don’t do labor for replacing batteries. Maybe in some Costcos they do, but not the one in Fremont. Also, it’s easy to replace car batteries yourself since you’re simply installing. They do have parking spaces for those who are just here for the tire shop. That’s probably because it’s more convenient for employees to drive your cars inside the garage for tire replacements and other services. I purchased High quality reasonable priced Bridgestone tires, and installation from Fremont Costco tire center. Customer representatives were professional and very helpful towards getting installation appointment. Complete 4 tires installation took only one hour, though tire alignments were not part of the service.

Not sure what’s up with this store. It’s super attractive proposition to drop your car, shop for an hour and pick it back up. But no. There is a frustratingly long line to drop and to pick up. Like about 30 min. The front desk just has one person, who inevitably is on the phone, prioritizing the caller over the line in front of him. Also, I am not sure, but they seem to be optimized to sell tires cs maintenance tasks like patching etc. call them to ask before you drop in if they have your tires and save an hour in the line.

Jenna helped me with the appointment—she was friendly, explained everything clearly, and even noted my account for priority service in case the same issue happens again. The wait time was a bit long, but the team still provided great service. They even rotated my tires without me having to ask. Overall, very satisfied with the support and care.

Tuesday 8:55am 8/2/21, I am the 1st customer walked in. No greeting for the service person. I had apt for upcoming Friday and wanted to get it done today. After letting the serviceman know the background, he then tells me, I can not change my appointment and walk-in anytime, due to my Sprinter van requirement, only specific bay can handle the size and weight of the vehicle. And put on on 1st wait list. Well it’s 9:50am now, There are 3 cars on 5 bays. No car came out in 50 minutes. Finally witnessed the first car (Siena) in at 9:05am, out by 10:16am. Over 71 minutes. It’s clear to me these crews were taking their time to work. I am taking my van back and heading to Americastire instead.
