Costco Tire Service Center

I ordered new tires through their website to be delivered to the store, when it was time to install the tires the technician called my wife directly to let her know that our lug nuts were malformed and unable to be reinstalled on our vehicle. They further explained that this is a well known issue with Ford lug nuts. I work for a well respected service center and do the majority of my own work on my car, tires not being one of them. Over the last year I have had all four tires removed and reinstalled for other repairs and had no issue. When I came in to have a discussion about the lug nuts with a manger he told me I only had two options, pay for new lug nuts or take my tires elsewhere. Brian further explained that it was a " safety issue " because the lug nuts may not be easy to remove

There is no waiting area for the tire center. They expect you to just walk around the store for 1.5 hours. So plan to get a ride. I had to have my husband come all the way up here and get me after dropping off my car. For a store that sells folding chairs... this seems ridiculous. The food court is too packed to go sit there for 1.5 hours.

They did pretty average, didn’t strip my lug nuts, balanced the wheels nicely. However I have one complaint, I own a 2000 RAV4 which is a small SUV but it’s classified as a small truck. They torqued my wheels to 96 ft-lbs that is way too much that’s how you torque a Tacoma!! According to Toyota themselves the torque specification for my lug nuts is 76 ft-lbs! I’m hoping it was a typo.

Bought my tires at Costco because of their good customer service. My daughter's car had a flat and I went in to get it fixed and they wouldn't even give me a time frame of when they could get to it. They said it could be overnight!!! Seriously?? I will be buying my tires from Discount from here on out.

I don’t know what people are talking about with negative reviews. This is the best tire place ever. They have the best warranty. I recently got a flat in a pretty new Michelin tire that’s over $300 a piece. My Costco warranty basically pro-rated the wear and gave me a brand new tire to replace it. Yay! Thanks guys
