Costco Tire Service Center

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to share after such a flawless experience! I got a flat tire and scheduled the soonest available appointment for a Friday. I got my car towed to Costco on Wednesday hoping that they could change my tire sometime before Friday, and they did it ON THE SPOT! Took less than 20 minutes. Carlos helped me out at the front and was super friendly. He was very helpful and shared other recommendations for my car maintenance without me even asking. Lo was the technician who took care of my car and he had a great attitude and incredibly efficient. Maybe I was just lucky, but I have yet to have a bad Costco experience!

The appointment system is exceptionally flawed. I had to wait a week for an appointment for tires they already had. Ok, whatever. They say it will be one to two hours. They only grabbed my car at 2 h after my appointment time. Took 3 HOURS. The waiting room has one small bench. Pitiful appointment system. Will go to America’s tires next time.

I came in for a tire torque check recently and approached the Tire Center with a smile. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The staff member at the counter was impatient and unkind. When I didn’t immediately catch what he said, he repeated it in a rude tone rather than explaining it politely. I understand it was a busy day — but everyone is busy, including customers. Courtesy should not depend on how busy someone is. There was no reason to pass along a bad mood to a customer who was simply there for a routine service. That said, I want to emphasize that the technicians I interacted with were professional, helpful, and kind. They did their jobs well and deserve recognition.

Worst Costco tire center in all of the Bay Area. Front desk is just constantly staff by the worst, most incompetent people in the warehouse - the one with glasses - Rick and another guy I didn't care enough to learn his name. Complete incompetence. Guys in the back might be good at repairing and changing tires, but this front desk is absolutely the worst.

Similar experience to others. I try to reserve judgement but this is the 4th time now with the same experience. I have an appointment and arrive 5 minutes early and wait in the appointment line (I'm the only one). Takes them 20 minutes to get to me and they take someone without an appointment before me. So now it's 15 minutes after my appointment time and they tell me it'll take 2 hours MINIMUM to fix a flat. The guys keep it professional but you can tell some of them are on edge. What is the point of having appointments? Whoever has the power to change this really needs to do something - either schedule fewer appointments or see if there's slack to be worked out of the system.
