Cottages at Marysville

My great grandma has been here for 2 years. I think her NA is very sweet but she is alone taking care of AT LEAST 8 residents, all are middle to high maintenance residents and aren’t getting the attention they need because the NA can’t do it all alone. This place is understaffed and do to that problem it also makes it so that the activities aren’t being done so my great grandma just kind of sits in her wheelchair all day and doesn’t get much movement or stimulation to her brain.

The staff is amazing and treats the residents like family, any concerns are addressed timely , they have activities and live music weekly, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for specialized dementia care.

Mom was there five days. Is diabetic and was well controlled with Metformin. She had a fall on the second day and I was told by the caregiver that she was not injured. The nurse didn’t call, the care giver called me. On the fifth day I was called again by a caregiver and told that she couldn’t lift her arm and that they would call 911 or I take her to the ER. I picked her up and she was dirty, shaking, eyes glassy and not wearing her glasses. I could barely get her in the car. She was wheezing and had labored breathing. ER found that her blood sugar was 800 and she had multiple bruises and a broken clavicle and a heart problem. Now the nurse is telling me that they don’t control diets. They give diabetics whatever is on the menu. I was absolutely told that her diet would be

My wife has been living comfortably in this facility for over a month. She is being well cared for and attended to in every way. She has a very cozy private room that she is very safe and secure in. The professionalism of the staff and care givers can not be overstated. Everyone truly cares for our loved ones with as much or more concern than we have. I have visited at different times of the day and week and have always found the level of care extremely consistent. The openness of the facility to all residents and the well tended grounds makes one feel extremely comfortable and at home. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone seeking a safe and comfortable place for their loved ones with memory issues.

This memory care community is the BEST! It is clean, safe and the staff truly cares, they go above and beyond to provide care to the residents like they would their own family.
