Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care

I'm so sorry, I forgot to leave a review for what I think is the BEST Transmission place in Spartanburg! You're definitely my Tranny place, I pray others will give you their business. Ya can't go wrong Spartanburg!

My son and I were on our way to a dirt bike ride and broke down literally in a McDonald's drive through. 2000 Ford Excursion. Transmission would not come out of park. Immediately assumed my transmission failed. Had the truck (and trailer) hauled to Cottman's on that early Saturday morning and Michael immediately went to work diagnosing. Turned out is was a cheap brake light switch had failed, preventing the shifter from moving out of park. We were fixed and back on the road in about an hour. Unbelievable service and a friendly, honest operator. Highest recommendation. I've never written a review for anything on Google. This experience made me glad to enter this review. And we made it to the ride!

I took a shot at these guys as I needed a new Transmission Multi-Function Switch for my 2000 VW Eurovan. I spoke to Tom on the phone and was very helpful so I decided to being my van in. He installed the part in less than an hour as he expected and charged me for their 1-hr labor (I provided the part myself). The code I was getting has been resolved and the van is running great again. I would definitely go back to Cottman Transmission if I have any future car repairs needed. Tom was honest, friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend Cottman's for their professionalism, honesty, and a timely repair. We brought my son's car in for a transmission check (referral from another mechanic shop), and it turned out to only be bad wheel bearings. Again, Michael and the team are top-notch.

We've done work with cottman since I started working at the company im at over 10 years ago. This past visit had to get a rebuild on the transmission again. WE ARE ROUGH ON OUR WORK VEHICLES. This makes number 4 on this tranny and once again it's flawless. Without my van I don't make any money so they always try there best to get us in and out as cheap and quick as they can. They do get busy but I'd rather know they're busy cause they are good at it. I wouldn't ever pick a garage that has no customers ever. But anyhow if you need a transmission rebuild or replaced or even just serviced I highly recommend cottman for all your tranny needs...EXCEPT FOR DRESSES AND HIGH HEELS.... SORRY I PROOF READ MY POST AND THOUGHT WOW NOT THAT KIND OF TRANNY....
