So disappointed. I have been a customer of Cross insurance for 10+ years. They were great at first, couldn't beat the rates. The last 3 years have been horrible. No claims but house and auto went up almost 30 %. My agent, Stephanie Seeds, would not return phone calls. This year was the final straw. I call the office 3 times asking for a return call. A week later, Stephanie finally calls me back (which was 10 days after my first call to her) while I am on international travel. I ask for a comparison in rates. She says it is getting too close to my renewal which is 2 weeks away. Though a week was wasted by her not returning my call. She told me she would look for a better deal and get back to me. I’m really having a hard time with Cross Insurance. It seems like they no longer care about their customers after the recent change in ownership. It took over three weeks to process a simple change request for our homeowner’s policy, and even after they finally processed it, they haven’t been able to answer my basic questions. They also tried to blame me saying I didn’t upload any documents but after asking them to look again my request was magically located?! Additionally, when I followed up to get policy documents for the bank, Cross has not responded, and I’m really unsure what to do next. Hopefully, we can get a response before the bank becomes upset over not receiving the necessary insurance documents. I’m seriously considering switching insurance agents. If you want a company that
HORRIBLE and I mean HORRIBLE company. We were with Grange insurance for DECADES, this Cross company took them over and it was nothing but headaches. Their customer service SUCKS, I recently asked to have our policies run through their other options due to the high renewal we received and I was told my "rep" would be running quotes and get back to me. I waited 9 days with no call back. Called back in and she acted as if I was bothering her, then proceeded to pretend like she ran them and just brushed it off as we had the best company already (without providing ANY actual numbers AT ALL). Absolute horrible customer service, needless to say I ran my own quotes and saved a ton of money, then we left this place in the dust. I feel for those having to deal with this place.
I really like and appreciate Cross Insurance. They go the extra mile to make sure customers needs are met, also going above and beyond. I highly reccomend Cross Insurance. You'll be happy with their caring service. I, several times have called advertisers claiming they can save me hundreds of dollars on my auto insurance. After they've checked my many years of a flawless driving record, and all my information, they not once, have been able to give me a quote that even comes close to my current insurance premiums.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. I used to give them 5 stars but now I couldn't rate them lower. Long time customer and now the customer service is beyond terrible. Rates have gone up everywhere but now the charge $9.99 for even making online payments. I always pay in advance and now after buying a new car and having my payment go up by $19.00 a month, they want to charge me that with the additional $9.99 a month until my 6 month renew date. I also have my house, a balloon coverage, and 3 vehicles including a classic car with them. I will be finding a new agent for all my insurance needs in the next few weeks.
