D & D Transmission & General Repair

Rebuilt the ax5 manual transmission in my jeep after 400k miles. Was told 7 to 10 days and finished in 8. Was given an estimate and the price came in slightly under the estimate. Owner and his wife are very nice, and kept me informed during the process. Would highly recommend them.

Coming to D&D made me feel like I was back home in NYC, receiving the assistance I needed from the family owned neighborhood businesses. A few months ago my son was rear ended and unfortunately his car was total. He ended up purchasing a Nissan Altima from a reputable dealer in the area but last week we learned that a car he hadn’t had for even five months and that didn’t have a lot of miles was in need of a new transmission. The price was fine it was the service that was horrible they had the car for two weeks, After that they called and said the car was finished. I paid the payment in full. After receiving the money they turned around and said the vehicle is not ready and they waiting on a part. By this time I realized they just wanted the full payment before doing the repair. Another two weeks went by then they tried to tell us something wrong with the odometer sensor. They put my daughter car back together and they didn’t tell us they broke the transmission mounts so when driving the vehicle the transmission is shifting. The car makes a noise I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one.

Needed my transmisson worked on. They had rebuild my transmisson in two days. Got an average price for the workmanship but they turned it out quickly. Owners are very friendly and informative. A family owned business that did right by me. I will be going back to this shop for further work on my vehicle I can't do myself. All good people.

We may be purchasing our 4th vehicle from D&D transmission all for four different people because we love the ownership and their honesty. Don has been amazing and stayed to his word every step of the way. Soon I will be trading in my that I got from them to upgrade to an SUV and it’s because of the trust we have in Don and his parents. We even took a mustang we had gotten into an accident with and they fixed the fender for us at a great price.They are like family now and we can’t wait to continue taking our business to them!
