I don’t know why this car wash has such a high rating. Maybe the local residents are used to outdated equipment. There are modern car wash facilities where you can conveniently add credit and switch modes during the wash, etc. Here, you have to wash your car with the same brush everyone uses for both cars and wheels, and even the vacuum cleaner can’t be paid for by card. The payment system is strange as well — it says $3 to top up, but it actually charges $10.

Passing through Santa Barbara. This self serve car wash had great water pressure and switching between chemicals did not take long at all. The presoak and soap did an excellent job at cutting through 600 miles of road trip grime (snow and rain).

As good as a self service ar wash gets. We are on a cross country trip and needed to get the road grime off. Powerful jets, clean bay. I used a credit card, did a quick hand wash, double rinse and under $5

By far the best self serve car wash around. Big bays, equipment always works and prices are very fair. Definitely worth the drive from Carpinteria. Definitely owned and operated by someone who cares about their business.

5/5/25 Edit: tap to pay will charge $10 hold, but don't worry, it seems to adjust to correct amount in a few days. Best self service car wash in SB. My routine: start with high pressure soap including on wheels/tires, rinse with high pressure wax, finish with spot free rinse all over. You can do this in 4 mins for $3 which gets all but the micro dirt off. Then pull forward into the vacuum spots and wipe down the entire car with one or two large microfiber towels. Start with windows (get bone dry), then work on cleaner painted areas up high, finish with dirty areas down low. Move to different parts of the towel as needed. Takes 5-10 mins.
