Finding even more issues with Dan’s Auto Repair — 3 years after they worked on our vehicle. In September 2022, the catalytic converter was stolen off our 2001 Tahoe. Based on a family recommendation, we took it to Dan’s. They told us storage would be free since they were doing the repairs. Our insurance at the time, Progressive, paid them based on a quote that included OEM parts. We were told repairs would take time due to backorders. Months went by (six total), and when we asked about aftermarket parts, we were initially told insurance wouldn’t cover them — which wasn’t true. Eventually they agreed to use aftermarket. When we picked up the Tahoe in March 2023, we were told, It would run louder because it had an aftermarket part. We were now being charged storage fees — despite previously

Dan’s Auto has been fixing our MDX, Volvo and Honda for over 10 years. They have excellent service, knowledgeable mechanics but most importantly for us no one can beat their prices. We highly recommend Dan’s to anyone looking for great service and excellent prices.

Complete ripoff, they lie on the parts installed, they claim they installed OEM part and it turns out to be after market, over pricing and twisting words all the time. Never coming back and i will take them to small claim court.

Dan’s Auto Repair in Elk Grove is hands down the best place for car repairs. Great prices, great customer service. They will diagnose, explain and quote a reasonable price! We have 4 different car makes and their mechanic has done repairs on all of them. I highly recommend Dan’s.
