Desert Oasis Truck Wash

Here's my honest review. I had never heard of a drive thru truck wash, so I called the number on Google Maps. A gentleman answered and I asked if this was the right number. He was very short and said yes. I asked him about the types of washes this place offered. He said it was a "maintenance wash." I didn't know what that meant, so I asked for some clarification. He was very short again and said that "it is a maintenance wash." For customer service, I would go e this place a 1-star rating. So, for everyone who is wondering, here is how it works: 1. Swipe your card for $50. 2. Jets turn on and you drive through the wash bay. 3. There are no lights and any directions. You just drive through it. As far as the quality of the wash, it was decent. It got the dirt off of my trailer. See photos

If you just want to get excessive layers of oil field dirt off your truck than this is worth the $50. There aren't many options in the Midland / Odessa area, and right now the Blue Beacon is under going renovations, and the only mobile truck wash guy I found doesn't speak English so he doesn't want to have anything to do with me.

I will post a review after I'm able to get out and look at the truck and trailer but right now I'm just trying to figure out what the smell is.. water or some type of cleaner that's industrial enough for oil field trucks and gentle enough to be considered a maintenance wash. Stars and satisfaction is yet to be determined but the ability to reverse as you feel necessary and the jets to continue until exiting is enough for my vote. No lights and sensors worked towards my advantage,but if you require those things then learn to drive your rig 🤷🏻‍♀️

The card reader doesn’t work. We had to drive through without a wash. No directions on how to pay if you can’t use a credit card.

The cost is $50 to drive thru about 15 seconds of dirty, stinky water spraying on your vehicle. No soap! Water smells like the non-potable water they spray the dirt roads with in the oilfield. There are no instructions or “stop here” signs. If you do unknowingly stop while it’s spraying the dirty brown water, it won’t wash the entire vehicle and you are out $50. I immediately called the number associated with this business and left a voicemail. I do not recommend Desert Oasis Truck Wash. Avoid and go wait in line and Blue Beacon off I-20 in Odessa.
