Discount Tire

We dropped our vehicle off told them we wanted to keep our tires. The ones on the vehicle were still good we just wanted better tires. We went to lunch and came back. They had no cars in the bays or the parking spaces in front of the store. But they parked my vehicle on the back side where you can only see the drivers side when you walk up to it. I didn’t think much about it, drive the vehicle home parked it in my driveway. My wife and I went to go to dinner right before 6oclock and she asked me what happened to the passenger side of the vehicle. There was a big dent and scratch down the passenger side door that looks like it got hit with a floor jack handle. It was right before closing and called up to discount tire, nick answered the phone. Explained to him what happened, put me on hold.

Went in for a simple patch on a tire with a slow leak ended up having to buy a new tire after they took it off to patch but couldn't. Didn't sound right since it was such a slow leak (aired up 2 or three days ago when i noticed it was a little low and again this morning when I noticed the nail) and tire was so new 5 months you can se the tread in tire pictures so i had them put the un repairable tire in my car and went to 2 other tire shops for secondary opinions. Just left two other tire shops on 80 that said it should have been repairable that the hole in it now is clearly from the larger tool used for patching not a standard nail.(3.5 inch nail from framing gun)

I noticed my elderly client’s tires were in need of an air check. The air check line moved quickly and the young man, Brennan, was thorough and respectful. He was concerned about one of the tires and offered additional service to check the valve. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait for that to be done but since he made me aware of a possible problem, I checked that tire later in the day to ensure my clients car would be safe when getting to her appointments. More businesses need courteous young employees like him.

Warning. If you own a business with light trucks avoid discount tire. Their warranty is a scam. Im bypassing them and going straight to the manufacturer. Corporate tire shops do not care about your business or their customers. They are behilden to their shareholders. There are plenty of localy owned tire shops the would love your business. Bought tires at 300 per tire. Tires wore out in record time. Discount tire offered 200 per tire twards a new set but not at the original price. At an inflated price that they call "before discounts". Obviously the original purchase price if the actual tire price and Johns tire in mineola actual has them for 13 less a tire without and corporate "discount".. Anyway, I said yes and they were to order the tires and call us when they came in. 10k miles later

Discount Tire gave me a fabulous deal on a set of Michelin Defender 2 tires. They matched a lower online price that saved me $150. In addition, they included my military discount for an additional $50. I was a walk in and they were able to install my tires within an hour. I will definitely buy my tires from Discount Tire again.
