Dollar Car Rental

Sorry to add another 1 ⭐️ review. Dollar Rental was a frustrating experience today. I got in line at 12:15 PM and didn’t reach the counter until 12:41 PM. There were four agents helping four customers, yet it took over 30 minutes just for those customers to get their paperwork processed. When it was finally my turn at 12:41, it still took until 12:54 just to get my paperwork — even though I had a reservation. After getting the paperwork, I still had to wait again for a car. I didn’t actually get into the vehicle until 1:05 PM. So from start to finish it took about 50 minutes to pick up a car that was supposedly reserved ahead of time. A reservation should make the process faster, not slower. To make things worse, when I finally got the car the fuel tank was only half full. Overall,

The car was booked, ID and other docs were uploaded in advance in order to save time. But during the pickup, I have got negative experience: - the person at the desk was rude - she wasn’t able to see a class of booked car regardless of it was on her screen and addressed that I have to know it and tell her - she told that I have to provide her all uploaded documents again - when I asked her about additional payment she wants to process, she told I have to know it and if not that’s my problem (that was deposit) Car: had electronic issues that seems are unsafe

Don’t use any of these guys, the wait time after you check in and pay is just ridiculous! We waited for over 2 hours and still waiting for our car to be “ready”. The staffs especially from the dollar counters were unfriendly and unhelpful. Every-time we asked how much longer will our car be ready, you don’t get a straight answer even though we’re waited for over 2 hours. The answer you always get is when your car is ready they will call out your name! There’s at least 100 people in the building during the time we were waiting and 50% have almost been waiting for at least two hours. If you dont mind waiting for at least two hours and dealing with unfriendly staffs then be my guest but I’d stay far away from these three car rental company in LA!

Long lines. Doesn't honor reservation times. Told it's a 2-3 hour wait without even looking at my reservation. Of course, I can pay a lot more to "upgrade" to a vehicle that is available. Never had this with other LA agencies. Sketchy bait-n-switch tactics. EDIT: I used "skip the line" online and managed to get a car faster. It wasn't cleaned and the tank wasn't quite full (I misread something else as the fuel gauge) but it worked. Drop off was easy and polite. I think this location can't handle holiday weekend surges. Increased from 1/5 stars to 2/5. I'd consider even 3/5...

I reserved a car a month in advance but when I got there none were available. I had reservations for a suburban or something that size. The manager was able to get me a minivan which was just big enough for my family. The employees were very nice but I would not recommend them due to not being dependable.
