I booked this car for my father’s vacation. When he went to pick it up, he signed some paperwork that he did not understand because he doesn’t speak English. I know it was his mistake to sign something he didn’t understand, but he knew he was supposed to pay $158.68. Unfortunately, additional services and coverages were added to his contract without his understanding. Do you know how much he ended up paying? $499.00. That’s crazy. When he realized what happened, he called me and we tried to fix the issue, but it was impossible. We had to pay even more. We went to the pickup location to resolve the situation, but no one helped us. Instead, they canceled the original contract and created a new one — and obviously, we paid more again.

Car was clean and ready, and well broken in with 33k miles so no issues there. Check-in got pushy with insurance upsells after I'd already passed. At return, the AI scratch scanner did its thing, fine, whatever, I get why they use it, but when I asked the intake employee a simple question about the process, I got an eye roll and a scoff. Not the end of the world, just unnecessary. Seems like they've invested more in tech to catch every micro-scratch than in training staff to be halfway pleasant. Would rent again if the price is rock bottom, just don't expect anyone to smile or to feel good.

Outstanding experience in Raleigh Durham airport location with Dollar. It was crowded and busy waiting and Sharma made the whole check-in process incredible. After a long trip she welcomed us and took great care in a very efficient and professional way. The vehicle rental is working out beautifully. Thank you Sharma and Dollar!

Car was great. Return was easy. Shuttle to and from airport was fantastic. It should be made clear on the website that choosing the Wild Car reservation may be for an electric vehicle and an upcharge will be incurred at pick up to switch to a gas vehicle. While I might be ok with an electric vehicle on a future rental it would not have been practical for this trip. A good deal ended up not being such a great deal. The agent was less than interested in addressing my concern or frustration. I will think twice about renting with Dollar again.
