Doomsday Diesel LLC

I am over the top happy with my Holset turbo upgrade on my OM617. I have better acceleration and consistent boost compared to my old turbo. On top of that, the turbo sounds amazing. I highly recommend this upgrade to anyone wanting to either replace their stock turbo or looking for better performance. My OM617 is from a 1984 300TD and is custom inserted into a 1954 Ford Customline. Why you ask? I say... Why not?

I purchased joes om617 Toyota swap kit and a serpentine kit for the om617 and couldn't be happier with the build quality, value, expertise and support from joe. He is quick to reply with any questions and genuinely a good dude to talk with. Shipping was very reasonable to the East Coast and prompt. The swap process was extremely fun and his technical articles were spot on. I did this swap on a 79-83 Toyota so it wasn't exactly made for my truck but I was surprised at how well it fit and I was able to retain my radiator support with decent firewall clearance. Can't speak highly enough about Joe and doomsday diesel, just a fantastic business keeping our trucks alive. Thanks again Joe, can't wait to do another swap. Maybe om606 or Kubota!!!

Love the turbo setup from joe!!!! I love this kit so much I am planning on upgrading to a bigger turbo and upgrading my injection pump. He is a really busy guy but he returned my calls when he had time, and answered my questions. Buy it!!!!

My first experience with Doomsday Diesel was with their AX15 to OM617 adapter kit. I had horrible issues with the Mercedes Diesel 4x4 kit and I ended up throwing it away. I purchased the Doomsday Diesel AX15 adapter kit as a last resort. Immediately upon opening the boxes you could tell this was a seriously engineered kit that was meant to last. The crank adapter retained all 12 bolts, the machining was perfect, fit and finish made it obvious that they cared about tolerances. Installation was a breeze. I simply removed the other junk kit, threw it away, installed the Doomsday kit and went on my merry way. At the time of writing this review I have almost 8,000 miles on his kit with zero issues. I was reserching the OM617 swap for my 1986 4runner when i came across Doomsday Diesel. I have done many engine swaps and know what goes into fabricating all the parts and the trial and error that is very time consuming. After watching the videos I could tell that he put tons of time and effort into making quality parts that fit and work great. The money I spent on all the swap parts was well worth the time saved and made the entire swap 100% trouble free. Everything fit perfect and the quality of craftsmanship far exceeded expectations.
