Doug's Auto Repair

Bought a used car riddled with issues. Decided to go with Douglas as he gave me a free diagnostic and adviced me honestly on what repairs I needed. Let's start by saying he guarantees his work for a year, and besides willing to answer all my never ending questions, he changed my under performing alternator, timing belt, water pump, transmission and differential flush, and an oil and filter change. Checked all my fuses and welded my loose step bars. A month later, my car leaks oil, I'm told it's unrelated to the timing belt work that was done, but Doug undid his work to check and it's leaking gaskets from the oil pump right around that area. I know it wasn't leaking before, but now it's another expensive fix, if you have deep pockets I recommend them, if not don't buy a used car.

I've been coming to Doug For As Long As I can remember perhaps 7 years or more. He is Straight Forward so I know all the negative comments are B.S. and probably just people who didn't want to pay for the issue of their Cars. I moved away from Jersey City and I am in Bayonne and I still take all my cars to Union City to Doug because his prices are fair and he is honest. I've had cars where he told me it's not worthy. I actually consider the man a friend in all honesty. I highly Recommend him 1000% .

One of the best mechanics I know. Honest and straight forward. Pricey but worth it. He fixed a water pump on my traverse never had a problem again with that. Now took the jeep to him and took care of my issue. youre the man Doggie.

I have taken my vehicle to Doug's Auto Repair for several years now, and I have found his service to be very prompt and fair-priced. After a good friend suggested that I try him, I was very pleased to find someone close to home who would do quality work. Doug has a good local parts supplier, so I have been relieved to get all my repairs done in a single visit.

This guy is a complete fool! I’ve been paying him thousands of dollars along with my mother and all he does is give us bad services and horrible car parts. He expected me to pay for a job that I paid him to do 4 months ago, I told him I won’t be paying for that oxygen sensor. He then proceeds to argue and tell me off and saying that I am taking advantage of him, I just respectfully left and told him to have a good day. Now after 3 days my car is back with the same problem that hasn’t been resolved in 5 months now. Douglas this review is me warning you that I will talking to my bank about all the payments that I made to you so they can investigate each and every single one of them! I will be in contact with the CFPB on regards to every payment I made to you
