They deserve zero stars just for their extremely poor customer service. On top of that they can’t listen to what you request to be done on the vehicle. Then do extra on the vehicles without consulting you and then charge outrageously for work that should have never been done. This is a horrible establishment and I definitely DO NOT recommend this shop.

I loved the experience of having our 2004 Mazda3 wheel bearing repaired with Downs Automotive. We are from out of town and had a concerning sound coming from the wheels. We called at just the right time because there was a cancellation that allowed us to sneak into an appointment. Kathy was incredibly professional and helpful. Everything was fairly priced and explained to me very clearly. They even inspected for other issues but told me I could get home safely without repairing them now. Only charged me for what was absolutely necessary to make the car safe to drive home to DC. I wish I could make these guys my regular mechanic for my cars. All pricing and timelines were clearly communicated and promises were kept and I trust they knew what they were doing and talking about. Highl
