Drivetrain Specialties

I needed to regear my Jeep for larger tires and called around to a bunch of off-road shops that said it would take months to schedule and cost thousands. Found Drivetrain Specialities accidentally while buying something next door and they could take my Jeep in a couple days and charged much less than the big chain off road shops. Both guys there owned jeeps and were super familiar with how their axles work. We did a 500mi inspection and everything was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I was under the impression that when I asked if you drove it to listen to the noise it makes now and you replied yes, that you drove it and listened to the noise it now makes? Odometer has not moved. Leaving with my truck in worse condition than when I brought it in has not a pleasant experience. I took it to experts and paid well for a job. I left with problems and no resolution. Big learning experience for me. Thanks guys UPDATE: Took it to another shop where it was found that the pinion preload was loose and the carrier had sloppy install. Also noted was grooved axle shafts at the seals. These are people who will lie to your face and take your money. That is an indisputable FACT!

I was speaking with Jamie a couple of times yesterday. I was on my way to Beaverton with a messed up transmission. I was able to to tow my car after the meeting in Beaverton to his shop in Lafayette Oregon.

Paul runs a great shop. His team repaired my 4runner transmission in a reasonable time frame and for a reasonable price. I recently had a transmission issue with a different car he continues to provide excellent service. I will continue to use Drivetrain Specialties for all automotive repairs I can't do myself.
