EasyAuto - Brake & Lamp Inspection Uber/Lyft Insp/ Smog check/ Clean HD Truck Inspection, Safety Inspection

I am a professional car guy. Took my client's 2013 Prius in for "Brake&Light inspection" or now it's called "Safety Inspection" at this EL MONTE EASY AUTO. Before I took the car in I already checked and fixed every single light bulbs make sure all in working condition. Brake pads, tire conditions and pressure are decent. Mr. Edgar is very friendly and explain to me this inspection process usually takes about an hour or so. He and his partner did the inspection and passed it. I have see other ppl complaining there is no seating area, I have to say, they do provide courtesy folding chairs if you ask. This is a small business. Don't be coming here expecting a A/C sofa lounge VIP room. This is the place I will be happy and continue doing business with. Joe

DMV required a Vehicle Safety Systems Inspection of my salvaged Harley Davidson motorcycle. Called around and found this business charged the least. I arrived and was greeted by the technician "Edgar". Very polite and he explained the process. He had an employee look over bike. The rear brake pads needed replacement; the bike failed the inspection. I returned three days later with new brake pads. The shop was busy, but they attended to me as soon as possible. The bike passed and I received the passing inspection report. The staff was professional and courteous. I appreciated the way they treated me and the other customers that were present. Strongly recommend this business due to their great customer service and professionalism.

TLDR: if this is the cheapest place you can find it's because it's a scam. I called around for the price of a brake and lamp inspection and it looked like this place was the cheapest at $180 and now I know why. It seems even based on the reviews that they would take the $180 and fail you so you can get things replaced there and spend more money than you originally intended to/ had to. We took in our car for the brake and lamp inspection where they failed us because he said the brake disc didn't pass the measurement thickness and he clearly stated our measurement was 22mm and the service limit was 23 mm. I was there for Uber inspection. They asked $35 inspection. I'm 11 years experienced Uber drive. I never have paid more than $20. The inspection is easy. They don't need any special tools. Just check ramps body condition and seat belt tention. Why we should paid $35. I canceled and went to other shop.
